L'expédition, un processus important

Shipping, an important process

I ship plants all over Europe when the weather permits (night temperature above 10°C). I ship my packages via Colissimo, Mondial Relay or UPS depending on your location.

Shipping is every Monday and Tuesday whenever possible, depending on your address shipping may take up to 2-3 days.

  • Shipping cost is calculated at checkout, based on your province.

  • Due to the fragile nature of the plants I sell, I reserve the right to hold your order in cold weather until it announces warm enough to ship.

  • I ship the plants in their original pot and substrate in order to have the least possible root stress and facilitate its acclimatization. I try as much as possible to make a careful packaging. The packaging ensures that the plants have good humidity for transport.

Refund Policy

If the plants arrive dead due to shipping, I offer a refund or resend the plants, only on the condition that you contact me at plantleaf@yahoo.com with photos of the package and the PLANTS on the day the package arrives.

No refunds will be made after 24 hours. No refunds for plants with a few damaged leaves but a healthy stem and roots. This can happen when they are moved to an environment outside of a greenhouse, despite all precautions.

Your plants have just arrived!

When your plants arrive, you should carefully unpack them immediately and check if the plant is thirsty. Acclimatization is a key step after receiving a package. A decline in general condition, loss of leaves or a frond may occur in the days that follow and is normal.

Remove all dead leaves. Begonias are delicate and do not like changes in their environment. I suggest trying to propagate a leaf or part of a stem with a leaf if the plant is large enough, just in case it dies a few days after arrival due to shock.

The best way to help your new plant is to provide high ambient humidity.
Place them in a plastic box or terrarium, and increase the humidity by misting the inside. Keep the plants in these conditions for a few days.
If you must water your plants, be careful to water only a little, as plants are even more sensitive to excess water after transport, when they are in shock.
Sometimes the shock of shipping can also trigger flowering. I suggest removing the flowers from the plant to help your plant conserve energy to settle into its new environment.

Packaging your plants:

Sending your plants to Plant Leaf is always done with the original substrate and pot in order to avoid root stress. The plants are grown in a substrate that promotes robust root development and allows for the smoothest possible transplant into your terrarium.
